Daisy Gagui – Manager
I started my career in the dental field in 1997 as a dental assistant. My education includes nursing and dental assisting, which has given me a comprehensive appreciation for the clinical aspects of patient care. Over the years I have transitioned to the administrative side and for the past 16 years I have serves as the officer manager of the BRIGHTON team. I appreciate being the leader of a team, consisting of the most highly skilled and compassionate dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants. We take pride in providing personalized care to each of our patients. I ensure that the care provided by our doctors and hygienists is well coordinated. The most gratifying part of my position is to receive the positive feedback from countless patients, who have received care at our offices. As a mother of three, I love spending my free time with my amazing children, walking and sketching.

Erica Johnson – Registered Dental Hygienist
I was born and raised in the Ojai Valley where I live with my three sons. I have been working in dentistry for over 30 years. I started as a dental assistant and also worked as a member of the front office staff. I returned to school to get my degree in dental hygiene. I graduated from West Los Angeles College in 2006 where I served as vice-president of my class.I am the president of Sigma Phi Alpha chapter for West Los Angeles College and serve on the advisory board for accreditation. I have been actively involved with Ventura County Dental Hygiene Association as past president, trustee and membership chair. I am a member of the California Dental Hygiene association and the American Dental Hygiene Association. In addition to my hygiene license, I have a laser certification. I love the relationships I get to build with my patients; they are like family to me. I enjoy educating patients about their oral health and how they can improve on it.My hobbies include working out at the gym, hiking, playing with my dogs and traveling.

I have been in the dental field since 1995. After graduating from Rio Mesa High School and receiving my certification as a dental assistant from the Regional Occupational Program in Camarillo, I went on to receive my registered dental hygienist license at the Oxnard College School of Dental Hygiene in 2005. I have been part of our Brighton Periodontal & Implant Dental Group team since 2015. I am married and have two beautiful kids. In my free time, I enjoy spending time and making beautiful memories with my family, traveling and shopping.

Cyndi – Patient Concierge
My name is Cyndi, and I was blessed to become part of Brighton Periodontal & Implant Dental Group in 2016. I have 25 years of experience in the dental field, both chairside and in the front office. Some of my duties include educating patients about their treatments, reviewing insurance benefits and payment options, scheduling appointments, and being the patient liaison. I enjoy meeting new people every day. I am lucky to have many patients who have been with me more than 20 years. I consider my patients to be my extended family. My husband and I are both from Ventura, and we are happy to continue to live in this beautiful beach town. I have one son who is currently attending college. In my spare time, I enjoy walking my three dogs early in the mornings to see the sunrise.

Jolene McElroy Barbosa – Dental Business Administrative Assistant
I started with Brighton in 2010. My responsibilities with the practice include insurance claims and pre-estimate submissions and verifying medical and dental benefits. I am stationed in the front office so you will probably talk to me about scheduling an appointment, treatment descriptions and/or payment options. I am a Ventura Cali native and completed the Dental Assisting Program in 2008 at the Ventura County Regional Occupation program with 15 years of experience in the medical and dental office business and 3 years in the health insurance business. I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening and DIY projects.

My name is Corina and I have 9 years of experience in the dental field. I joined the awesome team here at Brighton Periodontal and Implant Dental Group in December 2016. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family andfriend, cooking, and traveling.

I was born and raised in the Philippines. I moved to California in 2012 and have been with the Brighton family since June of 2012. My main responsibilities include scheduling patients, checking for insurance benefits and making sure that the front office will run smoothly.

Originally from the Philippines, Josie has lived in Los Angeles since 2006. She worked as an RDA in Los Angeles until she moved to Reseda in 2010 and came to work for Brighton Periodontal and Implant Dental Group as the main Dental Assistant for the Woodland Hills office.Josie received a BS in Dentistry from the University of the East in the Philippines in 1987 and her RDA license in 2008.Josie is a very hard worker who pays tremendous attention to detail. She is happily married with two children. Her interests include cleaning, watching movies, and cooking for her family.

Eilien received a BS in Dentistry from the Manila Central University in the Philippines in 1990 and her RDA license in 2008. She has worked as an RDA in the dental field for more than six years here in California. Eilien likes to attend seminars and learn new things about dentistry. Eilien is a warm, friendly, and courteous individual. She loves to spend time with her son and travel with her family.

Janessa Andres – Dental Assistant
Janessa joined our team in October of 2015 and has been a dental assistant since 2012. She was born and raised in Santa Paula, CA. She is bilingual so not only does she assist with a high degree of compassion for patients, she is also a huge asset in translating for our Spanish-speaking patients. In her spare time Janessa enjoys spending time with her friends and family as well as in the outdoors. She is also very much looking forward to her new adventures to come as she is expecting her first baby boy in August.

Wilma joined the Brighton team in November 2018 and enjoys working in the field of dentistry. Being part of the Brighton Team, she likes to work with a positive attitude and is excited to learn more every day with the help of her co-workers. As part of the team, she always loves to meet different patients and get to know them personally. After a day at work she always is excited to see her kids and spend time with her family.

I joined the Brighton family right after my high school graduation in June 2017. I am responsible for verifying insurance benefits and eligibility, sending patient claims, scheduling patient appointments and making sure that our patients feel safe and comfortable by simply being a companion to them. While working at Brighton I have been inspired to pursue a career in health care. I am very grateful for gaining experience in the healthcare field while working at Brighton. I am currently pursuing a nursing major because I have come to appreciate the important impact that healthcare providers can make in the lives of patients.
